Hawks Landing, phase two

The four new 2+ acre lots in Phase II, called Hawk's Landing, and described in our March 2010 news update (see below) have been priced and are now available for sale! Many of you have requested that we offer larger lots and we listened. You may visit our new community site plan, lot layout and pricing pages to view the size, location and prices of the new lots as well as the re-sale lots available in Phase I of our community. I will be adding new pictures to our website photo tour, but it is very difficult to show the magnificent views of the surrounding Sangre de Cristo Mountains and National Forest Land, so it is best to come and visit us and tour our community. We have 140 acres of incredibly beautiful property to explore!

I have been very busy this past winter supervising the thinning of about 20+ acres of property surrounding our home sites. I have been applying for thinning grants for the past five or six years and doing thinning work every winter to enhance the beauty and safety of our community. There are many benefits to thinning our forest in addition to safety and the health of our trees. There are fewer trees using water from our aquifers, so our water supply is more plentiful, more native grasses and wildflowers grow in our open spaces and we attract more wildlife such as deer, elk, wild turkeys and birds. We also have the most incredible views of the surrounding mesas, mountains and forests! Please check out our photo tour for many of our property and wildflower pictures.
