The joys of building

Aaahhh... the joys of building a new home! It is definitely a challenging experience since it is so time consuming. I kept thinking that I had finally made the "last decision" about all of the choices one must make and then there would be many, many more!! And then there is moving... in January in a year that we received record amounts of snow! We needed the moisture, so I'm not complaining, but we got almost 8 feet of snow (no, that's not a typo) in January & February! My new mantra was "I love mud...I love mud"!!!

I am finally living in my EcoNest at Birds and loving it! I've owned the property for almost 7 years now and have seen it in all seasons, but waking up and looking out at the Pinions covered with new snow is a totally different and wonderful experience! My two dogs, Skye & Diva, are also thrilled that we can now just walk out the front door and go for a hike on the property at all hours of the day and night! And, for those of you who have been following the construction progress of my "nest" on the photo tour page... my apologies for not yet posting the photos of my completed nest... I didn't think that you would enjoy photos of my boxes in every room! I will post new pictures very soon!

So, now that I have had a "minute" to get settled in my new home, it's time to get back to business! Evidence that Spring has arrived is starting to appear... green grass is appearing and the trees are starting to bud out! And, I'm beginning to get many requests for showings of our community. As most of you already know, Phase I lots are all sold. It will be at least a year or so before I begin Phase II sales. An opportunity to be a part of our community is currently available because I'm in the process of buying back one of our casita lots in Phase I. It is a wonderful lot with open space on three sides! Also, if you would like to be my next door neighbor, an "EcoNest" is available for purchase. I will be advertising both of these properties in the online newsletter that should be e-mailed in the next week or so. If you're interested in more information, please give me a call or send me an e-mail.
