Lessons in patience
My lesson in creating Birds of a Feather's new community continues to be patience. We appeared before the San Miguel County Commissioners yesterday for 2 1/2 hours debating the only condition that stands between us and final approval.
The best means of providing fire protection for the community and the surrounding area while preserving water. We had proposed a water storage pond instead of tanks and that is something new to the area. They voted against the water storage pond because of evaporation and contamination issues (which we had addressed). They now must decide how many tanks we must provide in addition to their size and location. To make a long story short, the hearing was continued to April 9th.
Thank you again for your continued patience and support. I appreciate the many e-mails received from women around the country sending their best wishes. It really helps me get through the difficult times and delays.
