Happy New Year 2006!

Wishing you a New Year filled with new hope, new joy and new beginnings...

We will certainly have a lot of new beginnings in our community this year! 2005 ended with the footings for my EcoNest being poured on 12/30/05! What a way to end the year! We had to start my foundation now to insure that we are all set for the EcoNest workshop to be held in May! We will finish the foundation for my EcoNest and guesthouse and complete my garage this winter. So far, we have had an extremely dry winter as you can see from the photos of the construction process for my foundation in our photo tour. Hopefully, after we get the stem walls in, we'll get lots of snow! If you're interested in learning more about EcoNests or the dates for our workshops, please visit www.econest.com

At least four other homes will be built in 2006... two more EcoNests and two Casitas! After working towards my goal of creating community for the past ten years (yikes!), it is pretty exciting to move to the next step of the journey... building homes and having people move into the community!

Lot sales have continued to be brisk... we now have only one casita lot left and four single family lots. The lots are priced under appraised value, but will probably be raised to the going market rate shortly as we begin to build homes and create community. I have wanted to reward my "pioneers" in Phase I with below market prices because it takes vision to imagine our beautiful property with homes and people. So, if any of you are thinking of visiting and/or buying in Phase I, do it soon and take advantage of pricing that was done almost three years ago before the delays!
