Wettest summer yet

Wow... the summer has sure flown by! It has been one of the wettest summers that I've experienced since moving to Santa Fe and the locals say they can't remember when it's rained this much! The wildflowers are popping up everywhere... there are fields of solid yellow blooms as you drive into Santa Fe! Of course, where there are flowers, there is pollen and lots of people seem to be sneezing a lot more these days! I'm just happy to see everything so green and beautiful after such a dry (and brown) winter and spring!

Labor day weekend was a busy one for me... putting the last two lots in Phase I under contract! I'm certainly pleased at how quickly Phase I sold out, especially since we just started building homes this year! We have a fabulous group of "Birds" who have already started moving to Pecos to begin designing and building their homes. Everyone is excited to meet their future neighbors and friends!

The construction of my home is moving along and I hope to move to "Birds" in December. I haven't posted many photos recently because most of the work has been inside and not very much fun to photograph... wiring, plumbing, soffits, etc. Now they are working on my roof and next week they will be installing windows and doors! Yippeee!

Please sign up for our periodic online newsletters if you want to receive updates about our community. And please tell your friends... Phase II lot sales should begin in the next year or so. Also, check out the Keys magazine insert in the New York Times on Sunday, September 10th! There is going to be an article about GLBT communities and Birds will be mentioned (I hope)!!
