Server issues, again

We've been experiencing several server issues in the last couple months, some of which I was aware of and some not. I have recently discovered that there was a period of about 3-4 weeks when I was not receiving submissions to our mailing list or surveys. So, if you sent a mailing list submission in late September or early October, it is unlikely that I received it. I apologize for any inconvenience. Also, I just discovered a few days ago that all of my news updates since July have disappeared. Fortunately, all of the problems have now been discovered and fixed (I hope).

The most important news of the past few months is that all of the infrastructure improvements have been completed and we are continuing to sell lots. The roads have been completed as well as underground electric, telephone, and water. Septic systems will be installed next year as homes are being built. Right now it looks like Ellen (Lot 18) and me (Bonnie/Lot 5) will be the first to build our homes. I'm getting pretty excited to finally be able to see the first homes being built in the community.

Our ground-breaking ceremony and fiesta was held on September 12th. I'm in the process of sorting through hundreds of pictures of the celebration and adding some to the photo tour page of the website. Hopefully, the pictures will be up in the next week. Check back for lots of pictures of friends, neighbors and future residents. We had lots of fun with magicians, music, horse drawn wagon tours of the property, great food and even a performance by Cris Williamson! What a great way to celebrate the next stage of Birds of a Feather's community!
