Most often asked questions
There have been a lot of questions, but the 2 most often asked are, when and how much. We will strive to answer them here.
The two questions we have been asked most often are:
1) When is ground breaking going to occur?
We have experienced several delays in our master plan approval process at the County level. Unfortunately, San Miguel County's community development director resigned last fall and the new director didn't come on board until Jan. 24. We are now on the Planning and Zoning Committee's agenda for May 9th and the County Commissioner's agenda for June 13.
We will find out what the various State agencies have to say about our plan at the P & Z meeting. If there are no major issues or concerns, we could receive our approvals as soon as the June meeting of the Commissioners.
As soon as we receive approval, we will begin lot surveys. We will also bring in power and begin roadwork.
2) Do you have pricing for lots/homes yet?
We are currently in the process of pricing lots.We have also sent out requests for bids on building our "casitas" (single story twin homes) to several builders in the Santa Fe area. Hopefully, this information will be available in the next 30 to 60 days.
We also anticipate being able to put floor plans and possibly computer renderings of the casita exteriors on the website in the near future.
