There goes summer

The holidays are fast approaching and the weather is turning colder.  I can't believe that summer is behind us... where did it go? Looks like it has been months since I last updated this blog.  As they say, time flies when you are having fun!

We have been very busy working with our architect to design a couple of wonderful floor-plans for smaller homes in phase II of our LGBT community. We have also spent several months going through the approval process with various state and county agencies for additional lots in our community.

I am extremely pleased to announce that last Tuesday, November 8th, the Board of County Commissioners of San Miguel County gave us preliminary plat approval for more new lots in phase II, which we call Hawk's Landing at Birds of a Feather! We are very excited to begin offering these new lots and homes for sale as soon as we finish the selection of our builders and pricing! If you are interested in learning more about these newly designed smaller homes and their prices, please sign up for our periodic online newsletter, if you haven't already done so and look for updates in the near future.

Of course, we still have a few magnificent 2+ acre lots available in phase II, as well as some re-sale lots in phase I. It seems like the economy is possibly starting to turn around and interest rates are at historic lows... a fabulous time to purchase one of our lots and start building your future home in our community! We have a local bank that is very interested in providing very attractive lot and construction financing to qualified buyers.

We have had many people visiting us this past summer and we have showings scheduled into January, 2012! We would love to meet you and give you a tour of our property, as well as introduce you to some of our residents.

Although we have beautiful property with lots of large pines and gorgeous views of the surrounding Sangre de Cristo Mountains, it is our residents that make our community special! Check out our "Meet your Neighbors" page on our website for photos of our residents and their homes, as well as their testimonials about living at Birds of a Feather.

We are always interested in answering any questions you may have about our LGBT community. Please call or email for more information.
