Lot splits and moving
We continue to prepare for our meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission July 26. We have also recently divided the property into two parcels. one parcel of 140-acres for Birds of a Feather's residential community and the second parcel of 17-acres for Las Alas, the future guest ranch/spa/retreat center. This "lot split" should also simplify the subdivision approval process with San Miguel County and make it easier to obtain the long sought after approval.
I (Bonnie) will be moving from Minneapolis to Santa Fe on July 1. I'm looking forward to the move and being able to visit the property whenever I desire. I would be happy to show the property to prospective future residents at any time. Two couples have already scheduled visits to Birds' property in July.
Our architect, David Anderson is also currently designing an outdoor room for meditation/contemplation on the future site of my home. The plan is to eventually incorporate this "room" into an extension of my home to the outside/nature through a series of courtyards. Construction of the "room" should begin this summer and will be open to all visitors upon completion.
